SuperChrome in Production

Spray Chrome Paint being used in production to create gold metallic finish

Above we see SuperChrome paint being used to produce gold goblets with a metallic gold finish. The close up shows before and after the SuperChrome application. The gold colour is achieved by tinting the final clear top coat that goes over the chrome. This process can be used to render the chrome into any metallic colour. It is even possible to get a "flake" effect using our "Coarse Silver" base coat under the chrome layer

SuperChrome is Durable

SuperChrome is durable. It can be used on products that are constantly handled, walked on or used in a variety of ways.

The image above shows an ornate table with the "ball" finials and "claw" feet painted in SuperChrome. The highlight though is the floor, which is real wood that has been painted with SuperChrome and finished in a high quality clear top-coat for protection.

We at SuperChrome always advise using a high quality clear top-coat to protect the chrome finish. We have our favourites, so contact us and we will be happy to share our experiences using different top-coat clears.

When it comes to final clear coats this is where SuperChrome really out-shines its competitors; all chrome paint products suffer from "dye-back" when top-coated with a clear protective layer but SuperChrome only looses 3-5% of its shine when cleared. This is why it has become the industry standard in many applications.

chrome wine bottle and chrome bottle with red top coat

This image shows wine bottles that have been sprayed with SuperChrome. One has been finished with an untinted clear coat while the top-clear-coat, on the other, has been tinted red.

These bottles present a durable finish that will not easily wear off with daily use.

The image below is of an ornately carved wooden dresser, not a metal stove that has been electroplated. The finish is incredible, and as close to metallic electroplating as you can get.

Pulling Design Elements Together

The image below showcases many applications for SuperChrome: including the floor, large mirror frames to the left and the right, the dresser in the background and the lamp shade that hangs from the ceiling. The myriad elements, all painted in SuperChrome, make a bold design statement.

SuperChrome is Delicate

SuperChrome is delicate. It is fine enough to spray on delicately intricate elements for those trims that accentuate your pieces and pull the design together.

SuperChrome painted alligator hide

The image above shows a close up of an animal hide, probably alligator, that has been sprayed with SuperChrome to achieve a metallic effect of a "Silver Dragon". Note the detail that remains in the hide, even as it remains flexible.

Below, the images shows statuary busts in bright chrome and with a gold top coat. The detail in the hair is not lost to fill in by the paint.
